So the weekend I decided I was going to learn some new card stuff, I just HAPPENED to be in the right place at the right time…the stamp aisle of Joann’s. This LOVELY lady had gone to pay & then came back to offer me a coupon. I started to ask her some questions about embossing & it the rest is history. Louise introduced herself as Louise like in Thelma and Louise. She is so full of life. She is nice to EVERYONE she meets. I mean, she’s the type of person that makes you want to be better. AND the best part?? She is HILARIOUS. I never have a dull moment with Louise. I can’t lie, I would be LOST in the card making world without her!!! She gives me SO much information….like the right adhesives & paper to use, which kind of markers to use with which kind of ink and how to keep going when I just think I’m pretty much BONKERS. She is so great. And SO encouraging. And SOOOOO LOVELY…so….this went to Lovely Louise. In my phone she is Louise Joann’s. I used the Heidi Swapp “Lovely” die. I then used the “heart of gold” die from Neat & Tangled. I added an addtl 2 layers of card stock to the “lovely” & “heart of gold”…or teal…for added depth. I put the sizzix adhesive sheets on these before I sent them through the big shot. It really helps!!! Then came out the sequins….because there is never too much shine & glitz!!!
I then decided she needed an envelope. 🙂 AND HERE WE ARE….after ANOTHER adventure of closing down Michael’s. I LOVE LOUISE.
Next up, card for my FABULOUS mother. So, she LOVES the song “happy”. And I HATE it. SO, of COURSE I found this Heidi Swapp “happy” die. So, of COURSE I could ONLY hear this song. It was only after a few weeks that I realized it could be the “happy” for “happy birthday” or “happy mother’s day”. 🙂 So, more foiled paper, another “heart of gold” and some melted perler beads……winnnn…i LOVE my mom!!!! She is the best. And is also a HUGE encouragement. She opened the card up and found ANOTHER hidden shiny pink “happy”!!!!
And on THAT note…HAPPY last few days of April!!!!!!
