So, I started getting craft obsessed around 10 years ago when I taught myself to quilt. And I’ve just gone wild since! I’ve been a little too involved with paint by numbers, needlepoint and quilting this last year. And then I discovered stamping and making cards! I mean, it has been quite the adventure! And I am LOVING it. LOVING it. Here’s a few of my new projects I’ve worked on..
I worked with Simon Says Stamp’s Sparkle and Shine stamp set. I used an iridescent glitter embossing powder for the polka dots. The “Sparkle and Shine” is just in black. I wanted to make it a little more interesting, so I added the gold glitter twine from the dollar aisle at target! Gorgeous AND cheap!!!!
These were my Easter cards…I used the Simon Says Stamp March BoxSimon Says Stamp March Box – I used a bow maker & went crazy w the adorable paper in the box!
I then went crazy w the shaker card…I mean, who DOESN’T want a peep shaker card??? I first blended distress inks for the background. Then embossed some Peeps over that…then came all of the shaker bits! The other papers are from the SSS box. I was in love w the quality of the paper in the box! It was the first time I’ve used a heavy cardstock as a base!!!!
Then I discovered stamps by The Ton!!! The following is my quick run at cards w the Round Diamond set and Timeless Icons Sentiment set. To me there is NO such thing as too much glitz and glitter. I also used the “Dazzling” from Neat & Tangled’s Faceted set.
So…that’s a bit of a glimpse into where I’ve started from. SO…here’s to a new adventure!!!
You rocked it girl! Love your ideas and sparkle! 🙂
